How to Tell If you Have Spyware

Some of the more noticeable ways to tell if you have spyware in you computer is if you notice new Toolbars in your browser, new links, favorites that you did not what or didn’t even place in your browser. Your default homepage could be changed and if you type in a specific address like a search engine, you might be taken to another website that’s typically an indication that you have spyware and you also might see a lot of pop-ups and even if you’re not actually using Windows Internet Explorer or any other browser application. You also may notice that your computer will suddenly perform slower and will start to crash or freeze up just in the middle of you doing anything.

But there are also some sypware which might not actually show any symptoms at all. I mean typically a spyware application is just to collect information from your computer about the keys your typing in, what sort of webpages you’re going to.

The best way to get rid of spyware is to run a third party AntiSpyware software and that will pick up tracking cookies. It will pick up ActiveX Controls. It will pick up any executable applications that has been download into Windows system directory and will clean that all of those out and typically you’ll be surprised that the number of spyware threats that it will actually pick up. So try to running a scan on your machine, that’s generally the first protocol. That’s the first thing you do when you think you have spyware.
