Hi, I'm Danny with Topten Reviews. There's no secret that the internet is filled with pornography and it a particularly big problem in the United States. More than 89% of all pornographic web traffic takes place in the US and everyone is vulnerable to porn and all the other dangers on the web.
So I'm going to show you some simple steps you can take to see if you're computer is being use in appropriately. The first thing to do is check your internet history. This allows you to see what websites have been accessed by a machine. Now, each web browsing program keeps its history in a different spot. In the Internet Explorer is located in the drop down menu to the right of your address field. In Firefox the history can be found in the history tab located at the top of you screen.
In the other browsers they're located in similar spots. You can sort the history according to website name. The names of pornographic websites are usually pretty obvious and the history will also provide you with links to every website visited. You can clear your history of unwanted sites by the option that says, “Clear internet history.”
Another way to see pornography is being stored on your computer is to do an image search. Click on start then select the search option then select the option that says pictures, music or video, then select pictures and photos. Make sure you leave the search fill blank and windows will bring up every image stored on your hard drive. You can then scroll down the list of thumbnail to see if there any in appropriate that your save to your computer. Getting this pictures off your computer is easy just drug them in the recycle bin and then empty it.
The third way to check your system for the signs that’s been used of pornography is by checking temporary internet files. Open windows explorer and then the address field type C\WINDOWS\temp\temporaryinternetfiles. This folder keeps all the files associated with web browsing. If you're computer has been use as such porn sites images and cookies will be stored in this folder. Torn how to safely remove these files watch your video on cookie remove.
If you do find that tail all sign of pornography on your system you need to perform a virus scan immediately. Internet porn and computer viruses go hand and hand. If there are pornographic images on your system there's a high probability that your computer is also infected with the virus. Now, the problem with this detection method is at the files go looking for easily hidden or deleted.
If your search turns up nothing but you still suspect your computer is being use to be porn or rather inappropriate material I would suggest installing monitoring your software.
