And then practice doing this, (music playing) like that. What is happening? Now, the front track is moving underneath the actual sleet mat and the piece of vinal. The sleet mat 90% of the time if not, 100% of the time is not moving, because what is happening is the sleet mat and the piece of vinal are stock together like that. The actual sleet mat is made of one side, you know sleet mat. The platelet is moving underneath the sleet mat. So, what happens is not really any need for you to push that piece of vinal forward, none at all. But, what is important is to get that defined feeling of knowing how to throw it in. Now, that is where the front disk comes in, and that is exactly what these people do with balls. They practice and practice to until eventually it becomes natural to them.
So, what I will do now is I am never going to do exactly the same thing without these survival plane and also, think about it, if you get this mastered, then instead of having headphones on and you know. I mean [Inaudible] like that. You can actually have both volumes up. Prior to getting the volumes upon this one, let us imagine the volume is up on that one. Prior to getting the volume upon this one, you find the beginning of that beat. You hold the record ready, the plat is moving underneath, then you put your volume up, and then as soon as the time arises when you want to put this particular track in, [inaudible] you let it go.
Now, a lot of people will push it forward but it is actually very little nee to do that because, if you hold it correctly littler it as soon as you take the fingers. Off the actual platter, will just Wang it forward, then the record, and the actual sleet mat will just go together and go the same speed as the actual platter. So, we will get that and go (music playing) there. Right exactly there. Now bare in mind as well is maybe a little bit of beat. But again, I will show you what to do if it is slightly off beat. (Music playing) [Inaudible] Right. Now then, let us say for example I put that in but it was slightly off beat. Now again, a while ago I said there is no really need to touch the platter because you can use the pitch control. But then again, if you spent actually hours getting it in beat, what is the point of throwing it in and finding it soft beat and then messing over the pitch again because it is already in beat. So, how did you get it back into beat, if when you thrown it in it is maybe slightly off, slightly too fast or slit to slow. This is what you can do, (music playing). The camera is a bit closer to the center. Now, there are lots of things you see DJs do it. You see them doing this, now at the sides.
(Music Playing) like that, which you can do.
Also, what you can do is this. Now, with my finger on the center are over here. What I am going to do, I am going almost pretend on moving it faster, but what is happening is my finger is going to be sliding on the top of the actual center part of the piece of vinal. It is not going to be stock moving with the vinal. I am going to be sliding over to jumping speed.
Have a listen to the actual speed. And you should be able to hear it speed up very slightly. (Music playing)
There you go. You can do the opposite, if you want to slow it down.
So again, think about it. Let us just do the camera act. So okay, that was plain; you have beat match this one on your headphones with the volume down. Get it ready at the point where you want to throw it in. Buzz and fracas come in, you are ready, you throw it in. If it is in beat, brilliant. If it is out of beat, then headphones on listen to this one for your headphones the other area through the actual main play system with your monitors and then, if this one is too slow then you need to move this forward the same direction as the actual piece of vinal. If this one is too, then you need to move it the opposite direction, not with suppression. But again, it is about practice. It is about knowing your turntables. All right this turntable is good. That is good. Another turntable is good. But, everyone is slightly different near there. So hope this has been a help. Practice and enjoy.
