Welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from Videofishingknots.com. In this video I will show you how to tie a Blood Knot that is a very popular line-to-line connection and you start out with your two lines with your two tag ends and you align it, you align this like this and then you grab here somewhere in the middle and then start out by tying the first half of the knot by focusing on one of the tag ends. You take the tag end and then you wrap it around the other line seven times.
So that was one complete wrap, and two, and oops, and three, and four, and five, and six, and finally seven wraps and now you can sort of push the wraps at the same time as you pull the tag end to bring all the wraps closer to the sender like this oops just like that and now you can take your tag end here and you can hood it in between the two lines, just here before the wraps start, you put it in between the two lines like that and then when you pull the tag end and you push the wraps to form a nice pattern here like that and then when you get to this part you just hold on to everything with your thumb and your index finger and you can move on to the second half of the knot and its the same thing.
Now you just take the other tag end and you wrap it around the other line seven times, that was one, and two, and three, and four, and five, and six, and seven times like that. Seven complete wraps around the other line. And now you take the tag end oops you take the tag end here and you come back to the center and you can sort of open this first wrap a little bit and then you put the tag end through that hole or that little gap there in the opposite direction of the other tag end. You can see they are coming out in opposite directions.
And again now you can pull this tag end and push up here and so that the wraps will come down nicely like that and there where the things starts to look like a good knot and now when you pull the two standing parts and you also pull the tag ends. The knot will pull tight and you have a beautiful Blood knot there. Now all you do is to trim the tag ends and you are done.
