Welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from Videofishingknots.com. In this video I will show you how to tie a Double Uni Knot also known as a Double Grinner Knot or Double Paragon Knot. And you start out by aligning the two lines that you want to join, and just pull them a little bit here. So you have some more to work with, and then you grab them somewhere in the middle so you get two tag ends like this. And this is called a Double Uni knot because it basically consist of two single uni knots.
To start out by tying the first of these two single uni knots and way that you do that is that you take tag end you follow a loop with it. You just cross the tag end over the double stand like that and then you wrap it through the loop and around the two lines here the one leg in the loop and the other line five times.
So put it through the loop that was one, and once more two, and three, and four, and finally five times and you have something like this and then when you pull the tag end here you will form the first of the two uni knots oops just like that. There you go there you have your first uni knot and what I do is that I just turn everything around and start over. I found this easier and then you take your other tag end and you form a new loop, form a new loop like this and then you start over you wrap the tag end through the loop five times, so that is one two, and three, and four, and finally five times like that and again just pull the tag end here. This tag end you pull it and your second uni knot will form nicely just like that and now you will have two uni knots and tied on the two lines and when you pull and when you pull to standing parts and knots will slide down like that and there you go and there you have your double uni knot and your lines are now joint all that is left is to trim the tag ends and you are done.
