Welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from videofishingknots.com. In this video, I will show you how to tie the Pitzen knot, and you start out by putting the line through the eye of the hook, and then you pull, so you get a double-stand here and then you will take the tag end and wind it around the standing part like that and then make it come back. So you sort of form a new loop up here that is wrapped around the standing part. Now, you can take the tag end and wrap it three times around this double-stand here. So that is one, and two, and finally three times, loops around the double stand.
Now, you take the tag end and you put it through that little loop up here like that and then you grab both tag end and the standing part, and this will pull the knot tight and when you pull the tag end, the knot will slide down to the eye of the hook, and that is how you tie a Pitzen knot. All you need to do now is to -- oops, just get some focus there. All we need to do now is to trim the tag end and you are done.
