How to Tie a Surgeon's Loop

We start out by following the loop in the line like this and then you check the loop and basically you just tie a simple overhand knot to start out with.

So just an overhand knot the tag end goes over the double standing part and goes through here like that, a simple overhand knot as we know it and to make this - turn this overhead knot into a surgeon's loop you just take the loop and you pass it through once more so it comes here from below, goes through once more and that is it. Now you just have to pull the knot tight by pulling the loop and the standing part and tag end like that and you are done. You have got your surgeon's loop. All you need to do now is to trim the tag end and you are done.
