How to Tie the Away Knot in Cross Stitch

Hi, I’m Jannette. I’m going to show you how to finish off your project in this video. Remember that little away knot that we’d left at the beginning, you should have one for each color that you put in, at least one. We’re going to finish this off now.

The way that you do it is clip the little knot. So you clip it off and then you thread up your three-inch that we’ve left at the beginning and we’re going to bring it up through our needle and we’re going to feed it back through the little floats that were at the very beginning. And clip it close so that we don’t leave any little tails to show to the front. That finishes off the project and this is what it looks like when it is done.

Now, we’re ready to wash the piece and to prepare for mounting.
