Security Tips: Track a stolen laptop with Adeona.
In this video I am going to show you how you can track your laptop using free software just incase it gets stolen. The free software is called Adeona. Open up a web browser and do a Google search for Adeona. And the first result should take you to their home page and you can read up on them but basically what it is, its a little piece of software that since their server the location to where your laptop is. And if you have a Mac as you can see it can also take a picture of the perpetrator.
To download it just click on “download” and download it for your specific operating system and then just install it and it will have you enter in the password and then it will start sending every 30 minutes to their server the location as to where you computer is. And you will see on your desktop an OST file. Keep this file. Email it to yourself because you will need it to pull up the computers location.
Speaking of which here is how you do so. Install Adeona on whatever computer you want to pulled it up on and go to the Adeona recovery tool. That is going to have you select that OST file that you are suppose to email to yourself. Then, it is going to have you selected date and how many instances you want to pull up and then it will have you enter your password. And then, you will see this screen and it will have you press any key to continue and it should present you with a text file showing you where you computers located and then you can just take this to the police or the law enforcement to recover your laptop. All right, well that it is for this tutorial.
