Drill specifics. The first thing I want you to think about is time duration. Make all your drills last between four to six seconds. That mimics what happens with explosive movement during practice and competition.

Always emphasize good technique when doing hurdle drills. Perfect practice makes perfect performance. Reinforce positive patterns of behavior always whenever doing drills.

Try to vary your surfaces between hard and soft when you do the drills. If you are doing a lot of Plyometrics, you want to make sure that you are working on soft surfaces like mats or out on the grass. If you want quicker change of direction, work on harder surfaces like a track or a basketball floor.
The last thing is vary your spacing. Start close together with the hurdles so athletes get used to the drills. And then move the hurdles further apart so you challenge their athletic ability.
