How to Transfer Music from iPhone to Your Computer
Hey guys. What’s up? David here, your iPod Touch 2G geek and in this video I'm going to be showing you how you can transfer your music from your iPhone or iPod touch onto your computer and into your iTunes music library.
Now you might want to do this if you had to maybe get a new computer or you know restore your computer back to factory settings or something like that. If something goes wrong and you cannot get your music on this is how you do it. So you want to go to this website. I’ll put link for it to the right in the video description and it works for both PC and Mac. So you’re going to select the download link for whatever type of computer you’re on and you’re going to download and install it like you would in any normal program.
You are going to get this. You are going to double click and install it. Then you are going to get this disk aid shortcut on your desktop and this should already pop up by itself after you install it but if it doesn’t just double click it. Now what you are going to do is make sure your iPhone or iPod Touch is plug into your computer and down here select the dropdown menu and go to media folder. Press this little plus over here on the iTunes control and then see this music folder right here. What I want you to do is right click it and select the copy to folder.
Now, make sure your desktop is highlighted and select make new folder. So we’re just going to name it iPod music. It doesn’t really matter what you name it and select okay. And now it will copy all of these folders into that folder. So I'm going to come back once it’s done. All right guys once it’s done you’ll see it has stop copying. You can go ahead and exit this gate and you should now see your iPod music folder or whatever you called it.
When you open it up you should now see another music folder in here along with all of these weird files and you get some weird stuff inside of them. Don’t worry about that, just open iTunes and once it’s open make sure your music folder in your library tab or whatever you want to call it is highlighted. And then you’re going to take the music folder and just drag it straight into your iTunes library. You will see a big blue box surrounding it as I'm sure you can see it around here. Just copy it and it will put all of the songs and everything in it. So I’ll come back once this is done.
All right guys so the music has finished transferring into my iTunes library and I have my iPod up here. As you can see this is 564 songs in my iPod and I've got 564 songs in my iTunes library. That is how easy it is guys. Clearly it is that easy, just download and install the program. We’ll transfer the music and copy it into your iTunes library. So you have all of my music in here.
