How to Turn Off Windows Vista Optional Features

Welcome to PCWizKid’s tip number 12 features slowing you down. In Windows Vista you might have noticed that there is a few features that are enable and you are not using them so let’s g ahead and disable a few. Click on Start then go into the Control Panel and then under Programs once you click on that on the next screen under Installed programs click on Turn On or off windows features. So the intent here is to turn off some features that you are not using to free up some space, optimize your start up times, so let’s go ahead and take off for example games. If you’re not using the built in Windows Vista, Games and you can take those out. So un-check that box beside games other features that you might not be using for example are the Tablet PC optional components, if you have a Tablet PC component un-check it. Telnet Clayton Server, you don’t use Telnet to connect then un-check it so those are few examples. So you can go to the list- un-check them and then press OK. And then you’re done, now you can just freed up some space and removed some features that you’re no longer using, enjoy.
