Hi, I am going to give you demonstration of how to turn off the system restore You might want to do this if you have a virus. Because Windows will actually in a way of back up your files including viruses in the system restore folder. And those may come back to you later on. And this caused viruses some with spyware to keep on returning or keep as you are not of being on your computer.
First, all you need to go on start. Go on my computer and right click on my computer. When you get the manual, go down to properties, click on that and that will open up this system properties box here. Now if you have not got my computer option there is another to get this box open the system properties box open and that is to hold down the Windows Key, that is on the bottom left of the Key bar between the Ctrl and Alt Key. That little window symbol on. And at the same time, press the pause break key and that should open up system properties box here.
There is another option for getting in the system restore and that is going to style or program accessories system tools. Here they down at the bottom of the system restart. Click on that bases the option we would actually use to restart to 0151 that takes up you to seconds open up this and okay, there is window, welcome to system restore and tells you pick about it. So you come restore back to an earlier time and to do that you would select this option restore my computer to an earlier time and click next and then you might get an option over few days and pick out a date that you want to restore and to whenever last view to be booth after that. Or you can actually create a to restore point. Now, Windows does this automatically every so often but you can create your own if you want those specific time that you want to create restore point. It takes a few seconds to go to that if it finished just simply you have to do select the option and click next on follow the instructions.
For the moment for you want them to turn off the system restore, get down in here on the select on the side, got system restore settings. Click on that and that opens up the same systems property box where we can turn off the system restore in all drive or change the settings for how much hard drive space for you want to be used.
So that is another way of getting into system restore. And in here, you can some tabs for various options but you want the system restore tab and here is the system restore tab open and at the moment we could see that as just monitoring of course my hard drives monitoring. Now, we can change how much hard drive space is used up by going on the setting here on changing the settings. At a moment set the max online using 12% on attached me on many megs we can that down but we it would not make recommend adjust in that unless there specific reason for you to do that and actually I would not recommend turning off the system restart unless, for example you do have a virus after you need to get rid of after the system restore folder. And it simply and after you just check the box says turn off system restore on all drives. Just check the box.
And once you have check the box, click apply. You will get a warn and message of the system restore. You have chosen to turn off system restore, if you continue all existing restore points will be deleted and you were not be able to track all on the changes on your computer. Here you want to turn off your system restore easily and in this case well, we do not we, so we yes. And it might a second or two but after a while later say you turned and tries in that case. Click OK. And that is basically the system restore turned off and it is simply not the turn on and back on just basically do the opposite. So I am going to hold down the Windows Key press pause break and that will save back up which of this system properties box. Always remember to turned it back on normally that you would want on all the time. This allow you to recover from 0549 you about problems something might be and stored on your machine and return to toward what you did.
So just on check the box. At the moment it is turned off, click apply, it might take a few seconds and that way out it is on back again. So it is monitoring perhaps 0617. Basically click OK, just a note to remember to turn, make sure you do turned it back on and that is the normal policy to work the system restore on, so that you can be turn to earlier time. Turn on your office very handy if you have virus in the system restore for the return of the system restore through virus scan.
