How to Turn Wallpaper into Borders

Hi! I am Jim Tiner, professional paper hanger. Today, we are hanging border. Right now, I am going to show you how to get border out of wallpaper. Now a roll of wallpaper, this is the same cost as this. However, as you can see, there are three borders within this roll of paper. Why would I buy this? Well, a lot of times you can't find the border that you like but you can't find the wallpaper that you like. And if you could trim this out, you could have three rolls of borders which are a lot longer than this roll of border.

So I am going to show you how to do that, and it's really very simple. You want to make sure you have a straight edge and you have your border that you want to keep picked out. As you can see, we have three here. I have a straight edge and we want to make it the same as the top. And it's usually pretty simple because you are going to have a top that's going to be basically the same as the bottom. And you have a border and don't forget, there's two more to cut out of this roll. You want to only cut out what you need and remember, you can cut out anything you want to cut out to make it exactly like you want or exactly like you planned.
