How to Turn Your Mouse Movements into Art
Welcome to Tekzilla Daily. I’m Veronica Belmont.
Art is a subjective matter but as of most things in life, Giger is usually better. For example, the only thing that’s interesting piece of abstract art, would you find an even more appealing if you learn that this particular piece was created by tracking your mouse?
Our friends over at Labworld.org fan this slick piece of software called IO Graph which you can download at iographica.com. Just press the start button and IO Graph starts tracking your mouse movements with the large jolts indicating places the mouse has lingered—the larger the dot, the longer inactivity.
However, you can choose to ignore mouse dots and just get the lines without the dots. When you’re ready, just click the save button to save your masterpiece as an image. You can choose to include your current desktop behind the tracks or just leave it as a pure black and white piece.
Even better, this piece of frame ware work Windows, Macs’ and Linux. So regardless of your OS of choice, your next piece of art is just a mouse click away.
Now, do you have tip, hint, or trick you’d like to share? Let us know. Email us, tekzilla@revision3.com. And as always tekzillla.com, it’s the place to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and how to’s.
