Hey, guys. Welcome to GEEKcompNERD’s computer zone show. In this tutorial, we’re going to be seeing a new feature available in Gmail which allows you to unsend e-mails you just recently sent. And now, this feature is only available about five seconds after you hit the ‘Send’ button. So after those five seconds, the option to undo it will be removed and the message will be delivered to your recipient.
So firstly, in order to activate this feature, what you’re going to do is open up your web browser, go to Gmail and hit ‘Settings’. Then, go to ‘Labs’ and scroll all the way to the bottom until you see an option called ‘Undo Send’ and this is made by Yuzo F. So, by default, it will be disabled. Enable it and, then, hit ‘Save Changes’.
So later on now, when you hit the ‘Send’ button to send or compose e-mails, Gmail will stop sending the e-mail that’ll tell you that you can undo the sending and it’ll undo it before it delivers it to the recipient and open it up in the ‘Drafts’ folder for further editing. And from there on, it’s up to you to edit it or change the recipient or whatever you want to do. So, that’s it for the tutorial.
