Daniel Foggin: Another video request again on how to do something on the MSI Wind, which is my net book here. Although, it's not truly an MSI Wind, it's a rebate, but this will work on any of those rebates and its sounds to the Wi-Fi card and it's just as easy as doing the ram why you save them into a hard drive. So here we go. Okay, so what we are going to do?
We are going to upgrade the Wi-Fi or wireless card in an MSI Wind. I've actually got a Realtek one and it does work in Google for Realtek Wireless drivers OS 10, you go find, if you want to switch for Dell one, which works quite almost seamlessly. Here is how to do. First you want to start by turning off your computer and we are going flip it upside down, so we can just down screwing taking battery out. The battery comes out first otherwise it can actually shock. There we go. Now we just need to unclip it. I find going from the -- best then here is the battery that we want to take off. This is the wireless card, at the moment -- and it does work with special driver, but we just got one screw --
We do need to unplug those two cables out there for the antennas. They just come flip, I don't worry about breaking and they don't make -- and you'll need to save that above tape that is on that wireless card. And getting you on and opening that and experiment aren't with this, but you need to get those antennas flips back on, so it really is -- get on tracking. Whether it's up to you on how you do it and which by what's best. I found not putting it in just in then flipping them on. Here the best way, here is the positive and the negative a black goes on the one on the right, you need to get that right otherwise you won't go.
There we go. There is the first one -- there is the first one and same for the other they are difficult, but you are -- fine click, and then much light around. Oops! Sorry. Forgot about that, you need to put the yellow tape that you salvaged back on to tie around, and then like ram you need to put it back in it about 25 to 35 degrees, and then push down and just hold it down while you screw in that one screw that you salvaged from the other one as well.
As you can see that's quite nice and tight. One problem is that the black antenna cable does kind of slip out from the case quite easily. So, when you are putting the case back on, you should be careful with them. Yeah, as you can see a black cable is -- out that so just try and lift up -- we'll get it in, there we go -- keep all back into place and working so bring it back in.
So, now we just need to put the battery back in and that just fits in fairly easily, flip it back over and if we can turn the camera and there we go, just so we can say it. And start up and once you screwed. Yeah, there we go and we've got the OS 10 start up screen. So showing that you get the booting time with these hacking -- someone might need to work around that. Adjust the screen resolution in there, go. Hopefully, there we have it. There is our wireless driver window and you won't actually get a signal to start with.
You need to hold that function and I think its F11 the one with the satellite -- you need to press those two together and now it'll show you that green function light on it. And we have a signal so that's the upgrade completes.
