Mike Agerbo: Well, if you're in business its important to be efficient with your sales force, one way to do that is with CRM software. To help understand how you can use that more effectively, especially when it comes to mobile. We’ve got John Caputo from Maximizer Software on the show, thanks for coming on.
John Caputo: Thanks for having me Mike.
Mike Agerbo: A lot of people are familiar with Maximizer, it's been around for a number of years now, I think 20 years?
John Caputo: Just about 20 years now, yes.
Mike Agerbo: Well, let's talk about CRM in general, I use that term all the time but I think a lot of businesses don’t know what CRM stands for and what does it mean?
John Caputo: Well, CRM stands for customer relationship management. So CRM software is software which is designed to help you manage your relationships with your customers and it does that by allowing you to automate and improve your sales, your marketing and your customer service functions and it provides a what we call 360 degree view of your customer from the point where they are prospect to a close deal to post sale customer support. And really we are focuses to provide easy to use, easy to access CRM solutions which are specifically designed to add value for small and medium-sized businesses.
Mike Agerbo: So what is Maximizer doing in the mobile CRM space?
John Caputo: Well, it has really become a big focus for us. We have now provide support for basically, all forms of smart phones. We really have made it a big focus for us and our Max mobile CRM allows customers to optimize their time and really ultimately close more business.
Mike Agerbo: Well, how does the business benefit from using mobile CRM then?
John Caputo: Well, I can speak from personal experience basically, I love not having to log around my laptop anymore. So I basically have a BlackBerry, I'm currently using the bold. I've got my Maximizer mobile CRM and I carry around, you know Bluetooth wireless headset. It really does make a life a lot easier and it's all about increase productivity and efficiency.
One of things that’s really new and we’re quite please about is what's called wireless synchronization and wireless synchronization allows you to get data from your corporate database, as well as upload data to your corporate database with all the need to USB sync or cradle sync to your desktop. So you can provide that synchronization anytime and anywhere you are which really does allow for greater efficiency and our customers really do like that feature.
Mike Agerbo: What kind of growth are we looking for the mobile CRM market?
John Caputo: Well, the proliferation of smart phones is just huge there is more smart phones out there than laptops in the next projected two years. So we’re going to be seeing more and more of these devices and more people looking for added functionality when they use these devices.
Mike Agerbo: Well, I guess a business would be at a disadvantage if they weren’t looking at mobile CRM now, because that’s most the competitors would be.
John Caputo: I would say that it's something that everybody company should be looking at, especially if you have remote sales people, remote service people, they are out interacting with customers. But it also allows for -- you know getting work done just in transit, if you're on the sky train, if you're on the bus and you know you’ve got some free time basically, you can conduct business, not necessarily out your own desk at your office.
Mike Agerbo: Where can people find that more information about mobile CRM?
