Female: Hey Clean House fans, here is a tip from designer Mark Burnett.
Host: So Mark I thought the chair rails were traditionally used for dining rooms but
your sneaky.
Mark Burnett: I am sneaky.
Host: And you use them in the bedroom?
Mark Burnett: Well you know what I love to use them as decorative elements, it’s a great way to
show division of wall space, you can have one color at top another color down
below or even a paint color and a stock of treatment or other kind of full wall
treatment. But the key is you want to make sure you install the chair rail about the
32 inches off the ground. In that way it doesn’t cut the room in a where of way
and then lastly you want to finish it out stain it, paint it or whatever to coordinate
with the other elements of the room. So not only you know you’re stylish but in
case you are bang in furniture against the wall you will be safe.
Host: Nice, it’s kind like a mold it you know part on the bottom and this is on the top.
Mark Burnett: Exactly.
