How to Use Chopsticks

Welcome to watch mojo.com. This is Angela your host. Today, I am going to show you how to use chopsticks. There has been a common error that people who tried to hold chopsticks and they cross and it becomes very difficult to pick and then it crisscrosses and falls. Now, first of all I will show you how to just keep one chopstick stable. The way to do it is maintain the stability without moving this at all. Keep it between your middle finger and your ring finger, while you hold with your thumb and index finger. We are going to use the yellow chopsticks independently, as well. And we are going to have our one thumb, index finger and middle finger and be able to just wiggle it.

Now, as you do this you can try just poking, turning circles or just moving it around. Now after some practice, you can integrate to have both chopsticks together. So remember, I said the first one you just hold it with this middle finger and your ring finger like this. Keep it stationary put the other over and you basically move only one. Can you see that? You just move only one and you would ask how far your hand should be. Should you be holding it up high or holding it here. I would say if you hold it here you, probably get your fingers squeeze. So this might be too high for you and you have to apply a lot of effort, so normally I find the best way is to do at about 2/3 of the pot from here to here 2/3.
