Welcome. Today I’m going to show you guys some fun stuff you could do with command prompt and some not so fun stuff you could do with command prompt.
So first off, we’re going to start with opening up a shortcut to command prompt right there, okay. So go to New and open up a new text document. Double click and type in “command.com” then Save As whatever you want the name to be. Save it but be sure to make it a dot bat file and in this case I just wrote “cmd.bat”, click Save and a new icon showed up here on your screen. Double click on the new icon and there you have it, you have cmd opened.
Okay, now that we got into opening up cmd without like actually having to run cmd or clicking the shortcut which schools computers would normally block the cmd file, so this is a way to open it up at school and since you could open it up at school like this, here’s a way to open blocked websites at school.
So all you have to do, let’s say we want to open up MySpace. So all you have to do is type “ping”, that’s P-I-N-G space myspace.com and click enter and it should show up show MySpaces’ IP address right around here. So what I’m going to do is go ahead and type in the IP address into a Mozilla Firefox. Press enter and the MySpace or whatever website you wanted should open up and there you go.
So now that we’ve gone into that, here’s a way to change your font color in cmd. It’s really simple actually. All you have to do is type in “color” and space and put any number you want from one to nine. I think it’s from one to nine, just press one for example, it’s blue. Color 2, green, color 3, light blue and if you just type color or if you type color number it shows all the colors that you could do. So it shows the whole list of colors and after nine, it goes to A, B, C, D, E and F. It’s light and bright colors after nine. So let’s try light yellow. Color E, there you go we have bright yellow. Let’s try bright white, color F and you have bright white and there you have it.
So let’s do some other fun stuff with cmd. Now go to Run and type in “telnet towel.blinkenlights.no” and press OK. The command prompt should open up and just let it load for a while and this is an easy way and fun and easy way to get Star Wars on your command prompt. It’s a pixilated version of Star Wars that some, random dude has like created, 20th Century text. It has that thing in the beginning, blah-blah-blah, Stars Wars, yes and there you have it.
Now here’s a way to change the password of any user. It doesn’t matter if it’s an Administrator account or whatever, you could change the password without even knowing the original password. All you got to do is type “net user”, net user and press enter and then after that type net user and the user name you want to change. In this case mine would be THEFALLEN. So then just press enter and the thing should come up. The thing should come up saying “What do you want your new password to be?” type the new password, press enter, and the password should change.
In this case, I won’t be doing that since I don’t want my password to change but there you have it. Okay now here is some stuff that you could do with the Text Document but it opens up the stuff that you do. It opens it up using command prompt. So in way it’s still using command prompt to do it.
And this is something called, here’s some script writing that you could do for example “echo”, @echo, pause, echo, Your Computer Has A Virus, pause, echo, Deleting All Files dots, pause, echo and the reason my font is so big is so that you guys could see it but it doesn’t have to be so big. Here’s an example of a script you could write. You could make up your own script, All Files dots. Pause, echo, Files Deleted! System Will Now Shutdown!
And this is an example of a fake virus. So how you do that, how you make the system shutdown is all you got to is type “shutdown-s-t” and then type in how many seconds you want it to be. In this case I’ll just write 60 seconds,--c and then type in the thing you want to say and I’m going to write “System Will Now Shutdown!! Your Computer Is Infested With A Virus!! Please Contact Tech Support For Further Information!! Wait A Second!! MUAHAHAHAHA TECH SUPPORTS GONE BAD!!”
And once you're done, or this is what the script should look like or something, she looks something like this. This is just a really simple script that I wrote and save it as whatever, I’ll save it as fake virus.bat. And then go ahead and open up a file and command prompt should pop up saying, “Your computer has a virus, deleting all files, deleting, deleting, files deleted, your computer will now shutdown” and this will come up with the message being right here. “System will now shutdown, your computer’s infested with the “what” virus. Please contact tech support for further information. Wait a second!! Muahahaha, tech supports gone bad”.
And don’t be alarmed, well your, the computer will shut down but this is just a fake virus, nothing will happen to your computer and if you don’t want it shutdown a simple way to stop it is to click Run and type “shutdown -a” and click OK and it should solve it.
And another thing that you could do with command prompt is go to a new Text Document and keep typing “start” over and over again and this should cause your computer to crash and just save it as whatever and .bat.
This should cause your computer to crash. Since I only made command prompt open up five times, nothing would happen I can just go ahead and cancel this right here but if you open, if you right click and click Edit, and write something like “hax.bat” and save it as and we’ll save it as hax.bat. Now if you open this file right here, command prompt will keep opening up nonstop and your computer which will lead to lagging and your computer will eventually crash in less than a minute.
I’m not going to open that right now but yes, that’s what will happen and that’s some fun and not so fun stuff that you could do with using command prompt and there you have it. I hope you guys learned something today. Thank you and good bye.
