When you’re working with an Excel you might want to have what’s color custom view. And a custom view allows you to have different displays, different print settings that you can go back to when you are doing a certain task and you want to view your workbook in a different way.
For instance you might want to have a separate view when you edit your spreadsheet or when you analyze your spreadsheet. You might want to have different margins, a different print areas set, different splits, a different zoom level. How you can set up a custom view is by clicking on your view tab and then click on the custom views. This will bring up the custom views dialog box.
To add a custom view just click on the add button and then you’re going to name your custom view. Go ahead and put editing field. Now you have the option of including the print settings on the view and also hidden rows, columns and filter settings. Just uncheck the boxes if you don’t want to include those in the view. Click OK and you’ve created your custom view now.
When you’re ready to apply your custom view, click on custom views and you’ll see that you have your save custom views. Make sure that the one you want selected right here you just have one, the one we just created editing view, have that selected and click on show and it will automatically change the view. The margins that I have changed, the zoom level that I have set are all suddenly applied. I don’t have to change each of those settings every single time I want a different view.
Now to delete a custom view, if you don’t use it anymore, click on custom views, make sure the custom views is selected that you don’t want to use anymore and click the delete button. You get a confirmation, do you wish to delete it, click yes and it will delete it. You’ll be left with what you have to your custom views, click close to close that dialog box and you can create as many custom views as you need for whatever task you needed.
