For this tutorial, we’re going to make a DVD compatible format and so you can play it on your DVD player.
And now, you need this button called DVD alright. Let me explain these options here. This three in the middle here is—back in the days where we use CD-Rs you know the one that we used to use for music. That’s the same disc that we use. Now, this option right here is DIVX and MPEG-4 here. This is for those DVD players that can read those non-standard formats so that’s what that is but we’re going to use a Video DVD for standard alright. That’s what we’re going to use. And you click on that and you see the screen. Now in the screen, you want to make sure you get the right here. How is mainly for European countries and stuff like that? NTSC is for US and you know North America I think. And this is for the standard in television display so that’s why you have to use, choose which one you know. Now, in the Advanced option here, I just want to put is use multicore that you have your CPU. And it says Create ISO here, that’s what we’re going to do because we don’t want to actually burn it yet. We just want to make it an ISO. So, that’s that in there, call that off.
Now, for this thing here, the interface here, now you see what this Title I right. Then you click Add Title 2. If you click Add over here, it’s for movies. You want to add the movies. Like here, you choose the option here. And then I’ll give you the old movies you want to have. So, there’s two different things between Add and Remove over here and Add and Remove over here. So, just keep that in mind. So, we have two titles here. These two titles are different. It’s not like one to five per title. You can do multiple files pre title. Okay. Let’s say, okay, we’ll give you an example. So, this is Title 1 and instead of adding it manually, I’ll just going to drag it, drag it over to Title 1. And you see Title 1 has two files. So, this is what you see in your menu, you know, your DVD menu. This is what you’ll see in Title 1 and you see two of these. So, it’s not one. Like if you click on this, it’s empty, see that. That’s what I mean—put this here and you see this is one file and it has nothing to do with Title 1 here. So, that’s how you break it apart, okay. And you see this thing right here, this bar here, it indicates how much of the disc you’re going to use so it’s 87% so it’s almost full.
Now, this is for a standard DVD CD, I mean DVD-R or DVDR- whatever. If you have a—you use this one I guess but this is the standard okay. Now, after you add the files in right, let’s see on this one alright, Title 2 and the Prison Break here. What you want to do is click on the Properties okay. And just focus on this part right here which it says Video Rate. You see, what is this 1005 right here? This is what you want to do under your Advanced option here. See what’s this Advanced, click on that and then you want to put the same number into the same number so you use this 1005. That’s what you want to do for the Video Rate. You want to put it exactly because if you’re upscaling or downscaling your Vid Rate or your Video Rate, it’s going to not do a good job because you’ll be going up instead of going down. When you try to make something bigger, then what it actually is, it looks crappy.
Now, if it goes like lower them it’s okay but the default was actually 5000 compared to this one, it’s 1000. That’s what we’re trying to do. Put the audio here. You can do the same, you know, 128 but it’s not going to make a difference so you could leave a default like this if you want. But it just depends you know. This 128, you can put it in 128 also but 224 is not going to make a big difference. So, that’s that. Now, when you see some other ones, alright from right here, it says Split the file in chapters. So, it depends on how many minutes you want. You can change this if you want. And then you split the chapter like you know five minutes, 10 minutes, whatever minute you want it to. So, that’s that.
Now, let me see this. This Aspect Ratio right here, the four and three right here, this is the standard. So, you have like a standard television like you know in the old ones but everyone is moving to 16:9 like here. This is like many for HDTVs and you know all those new LCDs like that. So, I would recommend you just leave it like this as it is. I’m going to see what else is in here. That’s pretty much it. That’s what you have to really do in there.
Now, if you want to add subtitles, see, what’s this right here are subtitles. You add it in and then you choose the file that you want. It’s usually SRT or some other files but you get the idea. Just add it in and you’ll have it for that file. And just click OK and you have your files. Let me see what else what you’ve got to do here. For the titles here, you can change the names of it if you like and it’s not that you have to go to Title 1, no. Just click on Properties here. And you see it says, you can change the main title name. I’ll use this Bleach, alright Bleach. So, I’ve called it Bleach okay. And that’s it. Click OK, let’s see what’s this, some other options here too. I’m just going to leave default. And now let’s change it to Bleach. Sending a new for a Title 2 Prison Break, I just call it PB okay. And that’s that. And also in the menus here, menu option, this is where your DVD is going to be displayed, okay. And this one I’m going to put a Split TV Shows okay. And you can change the text and all that but like in the background here too, you want to change it but you know because I don’t really need that for these purposes. And if you want to preview the menu, you can click on here alright, click on it and they’ll show you. See, it says TV Shows, Bleach, Prison Breaker. And you see the background is the CD, that’s the default image. And that’s what you will see on your DVD player when you’re playing it. Let me see what else I’m going to say.
That’s pretty much it. You can do a preview here too, the same thing. And when you’re done with it, are you done with it? All you got to do is click Forward but make sure your percentage does not go over what you have because you can’t burn it if you can’t do it. So, click Forward and they’ll tell you to save it somewhere and don’t save it to FAT32 drive because—it’s mainly because the FAT32 partition, it cannot go over four gigabytes. And DVDs are more than four gigabytes so that’s why they don’t recommend you going to a FAT32. And then you’ll save it to a folder that you like in, call it Movies or whatever and it’s going to save it to an ISO. So, you click OK. It’s going to do create the menus and after it creates the menus, it’s going to convert your files. And after it is all, all done, it’s going to be in an ISO format like this I have. Let me see. It’s going to be in ISO format like this, see. I did one earlier. It’s going to be like this. So, that’s how you do it. That’s it.
