Male Speaker: Here is another message to determine who your hardcore fans are on your Facebook page and that is to use polls. There is actually an application in Facebook called PollDaddy which is an awesome survey application I will show you how to use it.
So we're going to login, just like in a Facebook you can go to your account in the upper right, click on manage page, you are going to pick your page and once you're at your page you click on Edit Page below your main image which will bring back into your administrative area and you simply go to the very bottom, you go to Browse More applications, you go to the applications area and you type in poll daddy. Okay search for it, go to the application page click on Add to My Page, and then just click on Add to Page.
Go back into the Admin section of the page, the application is right here, you click on edit and then you'll come to the main area where the PollDaddy applications are. You want to click on create a new poll and then you simply Enter a Question okay.
A really good way of asking a question to determine if someone's are hardcore supporter or not is just to ask them if they are - will they be likely or have they recommended your organization to their friends. You can add an image if you want and then you just simply type in your answers yes, no and then you pick your language that it's in, English in this case. This is public for everyone, the other choices you have are you can display a poll only to your Facebook friends.
Now friends are different from connections to your page, these will be your personal Facebook friends okay. You want to pick everyone to your cause, you want to say post to my wall, Facebook group, or Facebook page, we're going to click Facebook page and then we simply pick the page that you want to add it to okay.
Click on next step okay, when you first create a survey on Facebook you hand pick a few personal friends to answer the survey question and advance that way when people on your Facebook page go to the poll it doesn't seem like an empty restaurant. Find a few people and I will send poll invitations to these folks, and that is it. The other thing to do is you can actually share the link, you have a link right here that won't change, all right it's a permanent link to the survey. You could promote it on Facebook, Twitter and whole bunch of other social networking sites. I would recommend sending out an update to your fans as well.
So send a message you know just with a call through action about the survey, what the survey is related to and then include that link they'll go directly to the poll and Facebook and then you can start you know see how folks are engage that way. One more point about the survey question in addition to the actual question the answer to the actual question which also important to notice is whether people answer the question or not. So if I say have you recommended Inbound Zombie to your friends and 90 people come back and say no and ten people say yes, guess what that's a pretty high engagement on the Facebook page and that's really important information.
So poll just by its nature is going to test engagement regardless of the question that's asked. And then finally we can see the poll on the tab, on the Inbound Zombie page.
So if I click on polls we have two polls, have you recommended Inbound Zombie to your friends previous polls are right here. And that is it, that's how to use the PollDaddy feature within Facebook.
