How to Use Fresh Flower Stem Strippers

Hi! I am Cindy from A floral and today we are going to talk about fresh flowers and I have bunch of fresh roses here. They are white and they are quite beautiful but as you know roses come was in very sharp thorns on and we have several tools that will take these thorns off. We do call them strippers but these are thorn strippers. So, this is first one and if you carefully, it is on spring carefully put it around the stem and pull down it will take all those thorns off and the leaves at the button.

So, when you put this in a vase of water your leaves and thorns will be rotting in there. So this is our first one, and we have another one that is got kind of an L-shape to it, to the same thing also spring loaded put it around the stem and pull down carefully you do not want to strip the bark off the stem and now also takes those thorns off. So there is nothing that will hurt you or the customer if you are a professional florist.

So, let us just do that one more time take those leave off. Now these are newer and this is one of my favorites. You would think that this might hurt your hand, it is a plastic that I does not, it actually massages your hand while you will remove the thorns and you just wrap it around the stem and pull and this will takes leaves off of or thorns off of any flower stems. So, these are our three varieties that we can use for roses, these are the strippers and they were quite well.
