Hi, this is Dave Collins from Shareware Promotions with a special butterscotch.com series on Google AdWords. This is part 10, an introduction to using the report center.
The AdWord system is created to present to you with the great deal of information. If we look at all of the online campaigns, by default, we can see each of all campaigns the name, the budget for each, status, clicks, impressions, click through right, average cost for click, cost and average position. If we hone in on the specific campaign, we can see the different type of groups in each and more specific information for each one. If we then draw a ton even further to the group level, we can see more.
However, there’s a lot more information looking behind the scenes but they can use this. The Google provides us with the tools that we need to make extracting the data as simple as possible. So, if we go to the report center, we can click to this, they choose from one of the reports that Google may have available. Here is how. Start by clicking Create a New Report then we have to choose the report type where it tends to choose from the description next to each one—in this case, we can't pick the campaign performance report. From the units of time, again stick with summary, date range, we tend to leave it at this month. And for now, we’re going to have a look at all the campaigns together. I think our removing column is simple but for now, we will leave this as they are. And you can also fill to your results using a range of different criteria. From here, we can choose to name the report. We can choose to save the report as a template so that we can generate the report again or we can even schedule the report to run automatically on the everyday, every Monday or the first day of the month. You can also choose to receive an e-mail whenever the report is run with the informations attached in the format of your choice. For now, we’ll click on Create Report and then wait while the report is generated.
To view the report, simply click on the link. And from here, you can sort by any of the included column headings such as impressions of clicks. You can also choose to create another report like this or export report to a format of your choice. But a little bit of practice and refinement, you can see how Google provide you with all the information you need to ensure that you are getting the best possible performance from your AdWords account.
