Hi, I just wanted to make real quick video on LinkedIn in many ways, you can use the LinkedIn and what’s probably fit to be on there. I’m by no means an expert a lot of use it quite a while and it’s kind of very helpful. This is my homepage for my profile, so I LinkedIn and basically I put—I just actually updated my picture it’s a little bit nice to looking at than it was before. This is a networking tool so you really list all of things, things that I am doing now or I'm actually looking for a job at the moment. Things I've done in the past, my education and you can see that here currently I have 77 connections. Those are people who are directly connected to me is LinkedIn makes connection a space on here so they—the 77 is actually people who are directly connected to me.
When I clicked on that, you actually get to see a listing of all the people that are connected with me in a direct way. Most of them are hardcore from prison and things that nature, but second to them I've got a bunch of more people. So I have—to tell you on here but has several thousand people right now that I could probably connect within someway who would actually know who I was or know this person who connected with them. That was kind of in-between both of us as you can see this also, some of my experience are kind of almost like a resume but not exactly. You get to go to a little bit more detail in here that you really would in a resume. It really designed to look like your planning for job although there are some aspects of it.
One of the things that they recommend that you do is which kind of helps to give you a better placing when it goes—when people try to LinkedIn with you. That is to get recommendations this is a co-worker or former co-worker to organize a recommendation. You can actually go on all of your full of your contacts and send them quick little message and ask to say with your willing to recommend you.
Put place some in depending on how they knew you onto what type of category it is. Also in here allows for you to tells all about your self—I have my company website here and I have Twitter page, you could put in all the things—I don’t think it allows with two, well I think it allows three or four my blog page I could put that in there. As well, some of my honor that I've received a little about my hobbies and sayings and absolutely the personal spokes folks. If you want to hold to me there is my phone number I am try about people calling my cell phone as well as my email address down here. The whole idea is it really want to try to do as much as you can to connect your self with other people.
So I have no problem with that—another thing that’s nice too in here. You go all the way to the top, there's a place where you can go and sign up for groups and if you look down to the right hand side here we’ll scroll down a little bit. You’ll see that I am connected with a whole bunch of groups this is one for a job a little while ago. Some of the things I did here had do something with human resource so I joined the group there as well. This is LinkedIn group that I use in finance sales people that I group that I'm in also an local networking group human happen because that’s kind where I'm based. So that kind of ask to it as well, this my little neat things.
We have little application here, you can share your reading list—I actually have one on here like this. I tell you events that are coming up. So once you have presentation thing is putting one on here for a little while or a while ago and then we want to make another one because its really kind cool because—you can actually take presentation when I weren’t be at your party. I actually one of their presentations of envelope body of my profile page. So it will be valuable about me but it also called little about what the company did. So after the once the skinny on LinkedIn. It allows you to also to search here you want to search by people, you can search by company.
We’ll just put and see what kind of company is showing, well you can see all the company that it close or somehow actually I have actually—why we want to do that, because I'm not an international company it change this the groups. And it actually let you search near to your local zip code you know but if you wanted to do, okay and that’s—because that didn’t worked as you are me. Nobody is connected to me so we just want to do—alright if you connect—if you just click on that without stipulating an area it will bring up every company that somebody—where there's somebody in that company and then somehow connected with you. I happen to know this because its near the national bank and I happen to know that she is my first—if I told you about rating she is first person to gone over there to go over sounds probably connected with her somehow, as well as this person.
So I kind of know—I know her directly and second handle I know some other folks and what a nice application when you're going from the company. It also pays you business new hires that are kind of nice because you can be so—that might be somebody you going to be someone that you may do business with or possibly it might be somebody you want to connect with. You can use your—those connections and IM them and just let them know that you are connected and you think it might be able to help business relationship.
One question about this is don’t link up just to anybody one of the things I do when I go Link with someone as that I make sure this covers my links so what is the point. And the other thing that I want to get link up with people that you knows not only to have a lot of link but they have links in areas where I can possibly potentially do some business. So you know with the references from them, is just take a little time its kind like network who ever done networking you know face to face networking maybe with the chamber of commerce. Although you don’t have much control here, something likes that, business kind of like that. Although you don’t have much control of year you can't go up.
If you see somebody all you can send them an email or a message rather and say you know I like 806 or here I'm front of doing business with you. I have use that occasionally when I couldn’t get someone on the phone or I didn’t have any email or address or I was going to response to their email. I would send them they call it an email here and you get a certain amount of in depending on how what's up. Well we decide to this at otherwise starts to cause you or in mail. And sometimes it’s a good way if somebody feels cautious they don’t know who you are they might just decide—you know they will respond LinkedIn will tell you that they actually get—most people if better responses when they do use an email I certainly suggest that as a little way of contacting people.
Having said that is again to adjust or real short video did a lot more you can do with this but you don’t have a whole lot of time and the only thing is that you know—here’s my personal LinkedIn page. And certainly if you’d like the LinkedIn with me and with some connection you think we might have that we can possible do business with. I will certainly be more than happy to do that just a little bit of suicide for this I am planning on doing some a more of this non-like for this. But some other things and, as well as I am probably going to be doing some e-book writing and regards to sales and promoting your business and things that—if you want to see my LinkedIn and just to kind of keep track or what I am doing and hope me keep track what you are doing.
