Hello, this is Miro2194 making a video on using a Metadata in Bridge.
So to begin, I would like to answer a question to all of you, maybe you have it, maybe you know what the answer to it, but well the question is exactly what a Metadata is? Okay so Metadata, I could say is the data after to data and I think that’s the best explanation for it. For example the Metadata could be additional information you had to something you have, it could be a picture, a document, anything you have for presentation, anything.
So Metadata is the data after data, yeah, we could say so. Now, to begin working with Metadata, let’s change to our Metadata focus that in the default here is just a little three over here just at the right bottom corner, you just click over that and here we have your Metadata focused. Okay so here we have some Metadata things; here the Metadata will appear anything and let’s begin using keywords for our images. So what can we do? Okay, so first of all, I will delete all these keywords sets that it will be bridge common with and I want to create mine. Here I can create a new one and call this set create images and that’s for data’s sub queue word in that landscapes or also like cities, I could say that and maybe I can create other set over here and make that a natural, and I can name and have some sub-keywords like tree and maybe some plants over here, there you go.
So again I have two keyword sets. Now for example if I want to apply that keyword set for this for example, I have this over here, I want to add that to be a tree and a plant also, right over here if I look at the keywords you can see over here plants and trees. I can add landscapes and they will go up here, but it is in the landscape so I don’t want that. But if I want to add this to maybe sub two so I can select all with SHIFT, all CTRL A to select all and I can for example make that only great images over here and name that landscapes, although they are not all landscapes I can name that. So here you have key words, its great images, landscapes, keywords with images landscapes and most of them have that, okay?
Here it is, here you can see all, so that’s one thing about that and other thing I wanted to show you that you can add Metadata with a template you can create. So right over here, the drop down menu or this little button over here, you can just create a Metadata template, click that. And for example I don’t want those keywords to be here; first of all I want to rename this to Miro2194, property. I need to create here so I can just Del Miro2194 or your name or anything, create a website http.//www.Miro2194.com and I can delete this any time you want and for example, let’s say I like that and maybe that’s okay with me.
So after that I would just want to save this template unfortunately picture over here that really means just 9.psd so I’ll just go over here to that drop down box we opened just before and, go to Append Metadata and Miro2194 property, I just hit that and you’ll see over here that the created website has been applied. If I want, I can select all delete images and go to the same, drop down menu box at append Metadata Miro2194 property and now here you go, here is my website and here you can see that was working and here for example I can show you how to filter Metadata for example. Let’s open my filters again; I want to open my filter panels. For example let me add a keyword to this, another way to acquire, I’m just going right over the Metadata thing going a little bit down, going to keyword and that your keyword for example this red road or road, green, those keywords. And now I can select with for example here in my keywords I can select no keywords and there will appear all my pictures without keywords or I can select green for example here it will appear the images that have green as in a keyword or in road the same, that’s one thing I wanted to show you also.
So lets’ take a look to what we’ve done in this video, so first of all we’ve got into the Metadata focus after that we’ve created a keyword sets, I told you how to do that and assign keywords to something you wanted okay. After I just told how to create a Metadata template and I just showed you how to filter the images.
So this is all for now buddies and hope you learned something and I think is that you can change through the different views you have just like clicking over that and you’ll still have the Metadata over here, okay? Great thing about Bridge, I loved it personally and well, this is all for now. Don’t forget to check out the site www.miro2194.co.nr and we’ll see you in the next video. Bye
