This one is going to be on Miro, Miro is kind of like a TiVo for your computer, what the Tivo does is it records shows or movies that you miss, its kind of like a newer version of the VCR all right. If you don’t know what TiVo is but you would have to pay cable TV and all the channels right, but honestly how many of the channels do you actually watch and in all those channels do you always hate the commercials? Exactly right, stupid, if I watch that ten channels or less than that you know and all the other crap is just you have to pay the bills for them, so that’s stupid.
I don’t even have a TV anymore, I threw my shit out like a year ago, a year and a half ago. Yeah the internet is better, faster and quicker, I mean okay the TV you watch live events you know. Some people they watch sports, so you know the only way to watch is live but remember the Olympics. Remember that shit, NBC brought the rights to it and look at that, you don’t watch it live, you watch a version that’s like eight hours later. Eight hours later, that’s not live, what's the point of watching TV when its not live right? Stupid and if you go to NBC on line for the Olympics shit, what do they tell you to do, install Silver Light.
Linux bitches don’t like Silver Light, you know that’s a Microsoft shit, they don’t have it for Linux no. What do you miss out on moonlight and some other crap version of it? No man, so yes you know if it’s not live, what's the point of having a TV you know what I’m saying. That’s what is flexing me up with the Olympic shit with NBC bullshit, so I’m going to talk about Miro. Before I talk about Miro I’m going to talk about how I use Miro, I use it for like a year or two now on windows XP and then I went to Linux. The problem is when I was on XP it was faster than it was on Linux. I mean that doesn’t make sense but that’s what my experience are, do you know what I’m saying.
So I do not recommend it if you have a slower shitty ass computer, I do not recommend it if you have like no space left on your hard drive and I do not recommend it if you have like little to no ram, you know what I’m saying? So with that said Miro, this is what it looks like, interface here when you want to have some channels here like Miro right, click on Miro and then you see this channels over in the side. And they have like the popular and the top paid ones, channels you love and languages, so it’s kind of like an open source media type of thing. Like open TV source TV type and all I have to do is add the channels that you like you know. It’s totally retro and stuff, any channel would be over here on the side, see all this channels right that I have.
And you’re going to add channels from like YouTube you know like your favorite up loaders and the one you subscribe too, you can add them in this channels although it’s not streaming though. It will automatically down load it, the new videos for it and I have down loaded like three videos, like lets say something like that. See it’s slow when you click on it too men, that’s why I select it, see it’s slow. That’s the only bad thing about it, I liked the interface, the options and features but slow. So you can also set like you can click on this feed right here all right and you can set it to—settings are over here, click on it and then you see this—you can tell it to expire after three hours after you watch it and you say don’t download more than three that you haven’t watched.
So that is convenience you know, auto downloads, auto deletes after you watch, that’s convenient. That’s the same thing in like TiVo, you know auto get the shows that you want and play auto delete, I don’t have TiVo but I think that’s what it does. Auto delete shits and most of this are like high contents stuff you know except for getting shit from YouTube, those are low quality shit but most of this are HD stuff. But not always full length, pod casts are on this channels on the side here, this are pod cast all right. Pod cast are like user created stuff like what I’m doing is kind like a pod cast but you know them they have their face on this, so that’s pod cast.
So that’s why I use this and I also use Torrent and stuff, you can add Torrent on here too like if you have the mini Nova and add your favorite up loaders. It can also get Torrent’s and then auto download their new shit but I don’t recommend this program for Torrent though. It uses too much memory, way more than Firefox, so I don’t really like that. And what else do I need to tell about this shit, I think that’s pretty much it, just keep in mind that they don’t have like—they have other channels besides of what's in Miro you know. Other channels like you’re just adding feeds like video feeds and if they have like an RSS you can use it with this icons here, this orange icons. That means those are RSS feeds and its like video content, you can add it in here and there you go. That’s what it looks like and then you can add shit. You just add the feeds in here and that’s pretty much it and you add the channels.
And everytime someone updates something new, you will have it and you can watch it and auto deletes, so I like it and I hate it at the same time. I wish there is something faster than this bullshit Miro, so try it out if you have a good computer. Forget about it if you have a shitty computer, that’s what I would recommend.
