How to Use Night Lights in a Reef Aquarium

Male1: Night lights are important for some of the nocturnal members of your tank as they’re use to dim light to forge for food. Night lights also lets you see what’s going on in your tank at night without altering inhabitant’s behavior by turning on the main lights. Another helpful hint is to put your lights on a timer. Some advanced reef keeper like to have the lights come out from east to west and go off west to east simulating the sunrise and sun set. Male 2: However if this is too crazy, you could turn the lights on and off yourself and the tank would be fine. Male 1: Another way you can cool down your tank is by using regular fans. You could pick them up at any office supply store. Fans move the water around the top of your tank increasing evaporation which has a cooling effect. Keep in mind that if you choose to use fans, you have to make sure your tank water is replenished quicker than if you don’t used fans.
