What’s up guys? I found a lot of people asked me, “How do you record and how definitely you know that’s stuff with the stream recordings?” I don’t really do anything special. I use a program right now. I’m recording with record my desktop which is I’m already running it and it’s up here as you can. I’m zooming in on both. I’m already running it and you can tell I’m running it because up here, I have this little square. If I hit that right now, it’s going to start recording.
But what I want to do is show you what it looks like, the interface. Here’s the interface. It’s really small. Nothing major but it gives you a preview of current screen and right now since I want to do screens. It’s showing both of them. You can select the window if you wanted to just show a browser window or whatever or terminal window. You can do that or you can just draw on here as far as where you want your recording area.
My setting, I kind of left default, I max out both of these, the video and the sound quality. I did have to make one setting change because I’m using a Samson C10 or C10u or whatever. I forget. It’s pretty popular one out there but it’s USB microphone. I did have to make a change in here. I have to put this in to get it to work. Basically, you have to tell it what device to be use for your microphone.
This thing, I don’t think it’s working right, working directory. I put a certain directory but it’s not saved in there. Just dumps right of my desktop which is okay because then I can kind of keep in eye and I can remember what I need to rename and upload to YouTube. So, I kind of leave all those.
And then once I'm done, once I’m done recording, let me just close this. Once I’m done recording, I just hit this little button. It processes, dumps it on my desktop and the default fall is .OGV, I believe that’s correct OGV and I don’t covert it. I don’t do any other conversations or anything. I just uploaded to YouTube and in fact, I’ll show you. I’ve been little busy this morning. I got—let’s see, one, two, three, four, five and I’m uploading another one right now. And then I’m going to—once I’m done with this one and still processing, I’m going to brows to it and upload this one. So, hope that helps you. Hope that answers some of your questions.
