Hello everyone, I am Michael. Today, I am going to be reviewing the new Bluetooth Compatible P2 by Samsung. I am sure; many of you aware of the adoption of the Bluetooth 2.0 by the P2. The adoption of Bluetooth 2.0 has added many new features, including long distance coverage, battery saving, and multi-pairing. And, all the functions can be fully utilize with the Firmware upgrade available on Samsung website. Now, let us take a look at the new P2.
To update the Firmware, visit Samsung.com and download the Firmware file from the download center menu. After the downloaded file has been copied to the P2, turn on the P2 so that it starts upgrading itself. If you are not comfortable with this method, then install Samsung Media Studio. You can install the Samsung Media Studio by opening the SMS and connecting the device where you can see the P2 Firmware updates to the brand new updates automatically.
If this cell phone supports Bluetooth, we can connect it to the P2 and use it practically, let us try. To activate Bluetooth and P2, choose Add Device in Mobile Device. On doing so, it says P2 is found, input code 0000, input code 0000 also in P2 to activate the connection. For files have many devices can be saved in the P2 and retrieve as when required.
If you are going to Mobile Phone menu in Bluetooth Mobile Phone, you can find the details of the Mobile Phones that you have already registered. Here, you can connect to disconnect the mobile device, just disconnect the connection then connect it again. Now you can use P2 as hands free for the mobile device, let us try a call first. Choose ‘call by number’ from the Bluetooth Mobile Phone menu, on doing so, the dialing pad comes out.
Now, input your friends phone number, on doing so, you can see the cellular phone pairing with the P2 by itself. Now say, may I talk to the receiver? “Hi, it is me, can you hear me clearly? Okay.” Confirm with the receiver whether he is able to hear your voice properly. When you choose voice to phone, while you are on the phone, you can communicate through cellular phone instead of P2.
If you choose Voice to Hands Free, then you can communicate through the P2 again. There are some more ways to make a call without making you use the direct dialing facility. Some of the ways are, go to the history menu. Here are the list of numbers that you have called or received will be displayed. Choose the number from the available numbers and make a call.
P2 also supports the redial function, so that you can easily call the number which you have called earlier. The Hands Free function works normally, even while you are listening to music over your phone. When the phone rings while you are listening to music, the music stops temporarily and the P2 starts ringing. You can communicate with the caller by picking up the call, after you end the call, the music plays again.
It is convenient to use the P2 Hands Free, but you may feel that it is a little hard to input phone numbers into the P2. Hence, you can transfer phone addresses to the P2, this can be done as follows:
Go to Bluetooth File Transfer menu in the cellular phone. Transfer the chosen groups or people to the P2. Verify the transferred phone number in Prime Pack address book. You may be wondering, why do not we call? Go ahead, choose a contact from the list and push the call button, and now you can call the contact through cellular phone, is that not useful?
Using the P2 as Hands Free, we can comfortably listen to music, make and receive phone calls. In the next review, I am going to be looking at a data transfer between the P2 and the cellular phone. I am Michael, goodbye.
