Hey Bruce Naylor your Frugal Tech here. If you’re small business is not using Twitter you should. You really should consider. Listen, there are some right ways or wrong ways to use Twitter in your business or in your small enterprise.
A lot of companies have set up and they’re using it strictly as a marketing tool. And you know there’s a research from called Gardner that predicts by the 2011 almost 80% of social networking platforms will have some type of enterprise version of micro blogging or Twittering if you will.
One of the wrong ways to use Twitter in your business however, is strictly as a marketing tool just to send out nothing but advertising. That’s a sure way to turn people off it may potentially follow your company.
Another wrong way to use Twitter in your business is when employees are twittering each other back and forth or using it internally to kind of like keep each other up-to-date. The reason for that, there’s really no way to guarantee the security of all that messaging.
One good way to use Twitter indirectly is to provide interesting material to your followers not necessarily always an advertising piece. It’s more or less following people indirectly to see how and what people think to your product to your services as a communication tool with your customers. There’s a way to reach out and kind of learn what the community of your company and your products, your services is up to. There’s a good way as well as doing some networking as well for your companies. So there are some right ways and wrong ways to use Twitter, but it’s amazing that a lot of companies are holding out on especially smaller enterprisers holding out on using Twitter.
I highly recommend it. Check it out www.Twitter.com. I’m sure a lot of people is watching these videos, obviously, probably they already know about Twitter, but think about using it in a business sense, but not as just another form of advertising. Really a Twitter needs to be a way to learn about your customers, learn about their feelings towards your product or the type of products that you sell, and engage people in the meaningful way. If you do that you’re going to find that, that is yet another tool that you can add to your tool chest to increase to increase your awareness of your product and your brand. Get closer to your customer based, and learn what their needs are.
And I think you’ll find that’s as a great way to interacting, grow your business. I’m Bruce Naylor, your Frugal Tech. Feel free to rate these videos. We always like to hear and hear your comments.
