How to use VNC on your iPhone
Michael Callahan: Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder, and welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on how to connect your Mac from your iPhone using Mocha VNC Lite.
It's free from the App Store, just go search for it, download it on to your iPhone. You see the icon here in the top row, tap on that, you're going to see this. You want to go up to the upper left, and tap on the menu button, if it brings you with this, you need to create a connection, so tap Edit Connections. Now, here you put in things like the IP address, server port, password other items, save the passwords, have 32-bit Color mode, mouse with offset and so on.
When you have that set tap your connection it will negotiate with the Mac, and now you see we're connected to the Mac. Down at the very bottom, you see a little menu icon now little keyboard icon, if you tap on Menu, you get this Refresh, Disconnect, About, Help or Cancel. And if you tap on the little keyboard icon, you get the keyboard. Now, you see the keyboard icon is moved up to the top. So when you've got this done you can type into programs. In addition, on the iPhone you can tap with your finger, if you look over to where it says Camtasia Files, you see the mouse pointer, I just tap there with my finger and that's the same as moving in the mouse.
So this is Mocha VNC Lite, it gives you a way to connect to computers from your iPhone, and that's all there is to it.
