This is a pretty cool app I have been using. It is called Prism and what it does is it turns a webpage into kind of like a local app that is essentially is not. This is what I mean when we’re using it, Prism. The first thing it’s going task you is the URL that you want to create it, okay. So we’re going to say, we’re going to use Hulu for this instance and we’re going to create a shortcut, okay.
Then you see it loads it to the Hulu page, okay. So even if it closes off, right? And click on that, it’s going to turn on to Hulu only, okay. It does not have to Tool bar, it does not have any of that and that is what I like about it, it looks elegant. It looks like a local software that use you install but it’s not, this is on the Clouds here, okay.
Now this also works great if you have like with any page that you like, okay. It does not matter any page do you want, just put that URL in there and it will work. So, let’s say you have Goggle stuff like Google Calendar, it looks elegant too. Kind of like—it looks like a local software that you install but essentially is not, it’s basically just a web browser and you know, a web browser without all the navigation and all the bloating and everything like that. So that is why like it, okay.
Now to install it, you can go into your Add or Remove in, search for Prism, okay Prism and install that. Now they have a few shortcuts already like Facebook and some Google stuff, right. So if you use those, just basically just check on those if you want those.
Now who would—I’d recommend this to let’s say your computer, you do not have a lot of software, all right and you want it—make your computer like you have a lot of software but you do no want the bloat on your computer in either. So Prism is good for that. It makes like—it makes your computer look, you have a lot of stuff but you don’t because all of these are you know, just on the Clouds, on the net somewhere, right. So that is good for that you know.
Also, it’s also good for people that, maybe your grandma, grandpa, they do no know a lot of computer and when they use the internet, they only want to go to a certain web page like, they say Facebook or MySpace or YouTube and that is all they ever want to know, you know. They want to go watch a movie, they go to Hulu and that is fine, you know. You make the shortcuts for them, you say click on this and you go there. There are no navigations or they are going to get lost, right. And you do have to yell at them every time like I do with my folks. You know I just make these shortcuts for them with the Prism and it looks like local software, so that is what I like about it. I really dig this app, so check it out, you might think it’s a—looks nice on computer also, like I do.
