Welcome one and all to the travel section of Kodak Creative Lab. Now, just in case you are very naïve and you do not know what Kodak Creative Lab is, let me educate you. You can get to the Kodak Creative Lab website by logging on www.kodak.com/go/creativelab and there is loads of info on there of how you can get really creative with your photos and this caters for your whole life. Oh yes! You can download this leaflet and basically it usually takes you through from birth, birthdays, he got you, weddings, childhood, Christmas, university and retirement. And there are really great ideas of things that you can do with your photos, long lasting memories. So, get on to the our website and download all that info.
And today we are concentrating on travel. And basically, holidays are brilliant. When you go to foreign places, you have different foods, you see different sights. The memories, the smells, the taste, they are excellent. And the best way to remember them is through photo. A photo, of course, can trigger so much but often you comeback and then you forget it all and your photos are still in your camera. You have not even bothered to print them off. It is a hard copy. Wrong! Do not do that. It is really important. You have lasting memories of your holiday.
Now, the first brilliant thing about Kodak’s Photo Gallery at www.kodakgallery.co.uk and it is a brilliant site in which you can share and pull your photos with whoever you nominate. So, it could be your friends or your family. And basically, the brilliant thing about it, you can still be away but you can pop your photos on to that site and it means that you have got hard copies. So, if your photos are all wiped because your camera drops into the sea for instance, you still got them all on the site. And it also means that people can look at your pictures before you have comeback which is particularly perfect if you go away for a year or something like that. They can know what you are up to. It is nice. Have a link with loved ones overseas. So, that is good for while you are away. And when you comeback home, what even better is to make a little album of your memories, a little scrapbook. Lots of people do not bother printing off their photos so it gives you a good initiative, a good focus for printing them all off later and just needs to put your photos in there but you can put like little memories, say for instance like leaves like this might mean that they remind you of this weed bushes that smell funny outside your hotel room or whatever. Or you could put like restaurant menus. They might remind you where you dined all that time in that special location. And then I often put things like ticket stubs and receipts. You know, I even put Metro tickets, underground tickets and they can just remind you, you know, of things you have been to, concerts, you know, quirky things. Japan, brilliant place. I recommend going there. And but you know, also you can write little comments around the sides. They just remind you. And if you have been away with friends, get them all to write funny comments you know, so that you can just like really remember the vibe and the atmosphere.
And if you are not very good with your photos and then you find it really hard to frame up a good shot, what you can do like I have done here is you can just cut around whoever is the main focus of the photo. Because basically this place is really dirty and I had some losers in the background. They were all looking down the camera lens. I was like I do not even know you. I do not want you in my shot. So, I cut them off, stuck in and it looks good. Just like -- look these two friends here. See these yobs in the background. I do not know them. I do not want them in my photo. So, what I am going to do is I am going to cut around Daniel and Marianne and then stick them in the book. And it is all good. And it means that your photos looked perfectly framed even when they are bit rubbish. So, get to it, make a travel scrapbook. Brilliant!
Now, if you want to go that a bit further, maybe your scrapbook is good for a gap year or a holiday but you want to make a lasting memory of a honeymoon or particularly epic holiday. Then, via the Kodak website, you can make a book that is like leather bounds and classy with big glossy pages. This is like a coffee table book. You can do that also through the Kodak gallery. And look at this, all your photo suddenly look amazing. You could put a bulge around them like that to make it a focal point of a page or you can just have them big. So, you see this three happy faces just grinning back at you and reminds you of that time when -- this is that and the other. And it is such a classy memory of a holiday and you can give it as a present to friends or families. It is brilliant for honeymoons. Unlike, you know what better way to keep a long lasting memory -- I love that photo, just look at the woods there. Anyway, I could go on and on about this but really, I do recommend it. It is a brilliant memory of a brilliant time.
