Dean Marsico: Hey! I’m Dean.
Derek Stearns: I’m Derek. With the DIY networks Indoors Out.
Dean Marsico: And were going to give a few simple tips on how to use a gas compactor.
Derek Stearn: Now gas compactor is to use from medium to large jobs and you compactor from the base, a reason of pavers of driveways, patios or walkways.
Dean Marsico: And arrange in sizes from 12 inches all the way up to 24th. Now the 12-inch wants are for tight areas like transients for gasoline, shorelines. The larger one, which Derek was talking about, walkways, driveways, patios and we recommend that you rent a gas compactor.
Derek Stearns: To rent one you need two people to take it up and move it even though it takes one person to operate.
Dean Marsico: You’re not going to leave the rented place without ear protection.
Derek Stearns: Ear protection.
Dean Marsico: What?
Derek Stearns: Ear protection
Dean Marsico: Huh!
Derek Stearns: Ear protection.
Dean Marsico: Why?
Derek Stearns: Once you get it off and you’re at the job.
Dean Marsico: Do not drag it across the driveway, especially on a hot day because when a heavy compactor goes across your driveway.
Derek Stearns: It marks.
Dean Marsico: Oh! That’s going to leave a big mark.
Derek Stearns: Okay, now to turn it on, you going to put the on switch on. You’re going to put the gas on, give it the choke, throttle down to minimum and pull your cleft.
Dean Marsico: Now, you want it to idle for minute or so.
Derek Stearns: Yes.
Dean Marsico: On the choke and then release the choke if should be fine.
Derek Stearns: The throttle is what moves the compactor of faster or slower so; adjust that throttle for the speed you want to use.
Dean Marsico: Exactly. Don’t start off on high.
Derek Stearns: No.
Dean Marsico: Because you loss control.
Derek Stearns: It’s like a wild bronco.
Dean Marsico: Make sure that you compact from the outside in.
Derek Stearns: Exactly, whether you’re doing the base
Dean Marsico: Or on top of the table. So it’s great way to do it.
Derek Stearns: You want to make too that after you compact you let the engine idle again because it’s small engine. You’ve got very fast; let it idle before you shut it up completely.
Dean Marsico: Exactly, now if you follow this few simple tips you can compact the wall.
