Hey, I’m Eric Stromer. Today, I’m going to show you how to use and operate a jigsaw or reciprocating saw. Now, this is a fantastic tool for any homeowner. Do it yourself or a crafter who wants the ability to cut with a saw, curves, or a pullout of plywood for example on a sink cutout when you’re trying to install a sink. Anything where you need a small blade just like this one that bobs up and down and can easily cut any wood surface that you have.
Now, the features on this particular saw, it has a laser site so it gives you the ability to follow and track the line very, very conveniently. And then an easy switch out for this blade, it’s just a press to this little red trigger here and then you can replace the blade as you needed.
The jigsaw is a really easy tool to operate, let me show you how. For example, I want to cut a hole out in this plywood. I trace my template out just like that, safety glasses obviously whenever using a drill or saw of any kind. I make a pile of host so I can get the blade into the wood just like that. Watch this.
I’ve just cut a hole on the top of this plywood. You can use the jigsaw very simply and easily. Go on, get yourself a jigsaw, I’m Eric Stromer.
