How to Use a Mixer and Transfer Vinyl to CD
On behalf of TVlesson.com my name is Eric Roman, otherwise known as DJ Empire.
In this clip I’m going to show you how to use mixing board. First thing you want to do is turn up your master volume to a comfortable level, in this case three quarters of the way to full volume. You turn up your channel volume which is the individual place where your audio is coming from whether it’ll be turntable, mp3 players or CD player, it doesn’t matter. You turn that volume up and then you turn up your gain which is another sort of volume to the comfortable audio listening level where you’re not clipping the audio or going in to the reds of your mixer. You can then change the audio levels for each frequency.
You have your highs which is your trebles, your trumpets. You have your mids which is your voices and your low which is your basses. Once you’re done, you go ahead and turn the volume down and continue on with your night.
If you notice back here, I’m using my DJ software to record my audio source which is going to be my LP Vinyl. You start your audio and you’ll notice that the screen the computer reacts to the audio or where I can record. If you notice on the screen, the audio meters are picking up the audio from the audio source. Once you’ve recorded your audio, you save it whichever way you to and whatever format, MP3 or Wav and you save it to location where you can find it easily. When you ready, you open up your burning program to burn a CD and import your file to the program and press burn and Walla you have a CD with the audio from an LP.
This has been DJ Empire. Thanks for watching.
