How to Use a Stem Cutter

Hi! I am Sandy with A floral, and today what I want to show you is the stem cutter. This is quite a nice heavy machine with the handle, a lot like a paper cutter and a very sharp blade and you can cut entire bunches a flowers with this at one time. Now you really do not want your flowers sitting out on a table like mine are because there is air getting up in the stem and as the air moves up through the stem and gets to the top then that head of the flower will hang down. You often see that with roses and that is often the problem, this air it is no the stem.

So, you want to keep your flowers in water all the time you could even put this under water so your flowers are not ever out of water. Like you will take your bunch, you can lift the handle, stick the stems in and then crunch very quickly and put them right back in the water. This saves you a lot of time instead of cutting flowers one at a time with a knife, you can take a whole blanch put into the machine and then cut them. And also we have some Daisies. So just put them in and cut it is very easy and very efficient you want one of this machines.
