Hey, I’m Eric Stromer. Whenever taking on a big tile job, I really would recommend that you go out and rent yourself or purchase one of this water source. It’s a diamond blade, very easy to operate.
It goes like this. You pour water in this tray right here, just a five gallon bucket will do. And then there is a pump system that pumps water up through the mechanism right down over this guard on top of the tile which lubricates the tile, keeps the blade cool, makes cutting tile just like putting a hot knife through butter. Unbelievable how it works! And it’s a very accurate cut as well. So, let me show you how this thing works, very, very simple to operate.
Obviously whenever you’re using any power tool, I recommend using safety glasses to protect in case any air and pieces of tile go up into your eyes. Safety glasses on, switch goes on. We’re going to just do a straight cut here. Check it out. Straight cut every time. Now, if you have any issue with this being a little rough, you can use a pavestone to grind that edge down and it will feel just like a factory edge.
Now, for example, if you want to cut a right angle in tile or mark tile as you’re doing your job, I would recommend one of these China markers. It’s essentially a wax pencil and it will write on ceramic very easily. You can make your mark just like that right on the tile, that’s where you want to go. When you have the waters on, it will not rinse that mark off, you just rub it off with a clean cloth.
Now, you’d use a right angle cutting time, you have to go around a toilet flange on the floor or a corner in the room so very, very simple to execute. Let me show you how.
Look at that, right angles are snapped. If you have a lot of cuts to make in any tile job, I recommend you go on either rent a tile saw or purchase it. I’m Eric Stromer, get out and do your own tile.
