How to Use a Windows XP License on Another Computer

My list says I have a dead HP machine with a dead hard drive can I use the license key on another machine that I built. If yes can I use any install copy of XP.

Okay so got a license to the side of your computer today and completes and the one moving to another assessment. From one of some of those mass manufacturers do that is that you are actually using a special OMT that relies on software installer that was given to them by Microsoft, so they must install these things. So sometimes you can have trouble matching up a desk has no you can’t just grab any old desk of Windows XP, if its for example a retail version but the version on your computer was an end version its just not going to work. If the service packs don’t match up its not going to work. But as far as the legality is going you are typically license to use windows with the license on one PC. So as long as you know if it’s off of that computer which is crashed so we will say it is.

Then technically you’re able to install that on to another system but that is what an HP machine. So it’s an HP license, so there might be some restrictions as far as the licensing goes with sign that it means to be installed on an HP computer but that’s one of those taboos I think. But I think really when it comes down to it it’s one computer. Really that is where the software works.
