Erik Michielsen: So how was your MBA proven useful working as a product manager in the Internet industry?
Ramsey Pryor: Someone one said to me that being a product managers like being a CEO of you know of a product and you have to treat it that way and so you know I solve the MBA is a training ground for you know being able to run an entire business organization and product management is kind of a microcosm with that, you know with the safety not bad, you know if the product does well, great, if doesn't do well then you haven't lost your house.
And so that it's, you know being a product managers like they head training ground for you know running business one day. I think MBA's are often gear towards general management, general training, so you get a little bit of accounting whether you like it or not, you got operations, you got, you know a very broad scope of skills and I think that fits well to product management. You'll spend you know weeks working on a contract and then you'll spend weeks working on negotiation, you know then you go into you know maybe a technical design phase.
And so now I've used accounting, I have used operations, which I was not good at. You know and I've used just kind of being comfortable with, you know getting into something you don't know a lot about, but I guess having the experience that you can learn it, you can get through it and what you don't know you know who to pull and help you.
