How to Use coconutIdentityCard App on a Mac
Hey guys! This is George from Giorgio l Apple. On this video, I will be showing you an application called Coconut Identity Card. You can download this application from my download link on my video description. This application, what it basically does is tell you when and where any Apple product that you have was made. I am going to open it right here. That’s the little icon; I have like an ID badge. Like I said, it tells you where and when any Apple product that you have was built.
So here for example, it says that my Mac was built on Shanghai China and it was built between the seventh of April of 2008 and the 13th of April of 2008. It is pretty precise since I bought this computer in July. Here, you also have a different type called iPod. I never used it before and I think what it basically does is recognize your iPod plugged into iTunes. Then you have Stolen. It means if your Mac was stolen or not. So, right down here, it is going to say if it has been stolen or not. So, here it says that this Mac seems not to be stolen. Here, you can enter any Apple product serial number like this iPod or this iPhone. It has a serial number, so we are going to try both products.
My iPhone serial number is 7r729gajwh8, Enter and it doesn’t tell me where it was built but it does tell me when it was built. So, it says between the 16th of June of 2007 and between second of June of 2007. That’s my iPhone. This is the iPod for fifth generation. It is a 30 Gigabyte iPod. It also has a serial number. So, I am going to enter that in; 8k7333fcd9k. So now, it tells me this product was built between 13 of August 2007 and the 19 of August of 2007. So, you can see that by entering any Apple serial number, it gives you when and where the product is built. You have seen how it works.
