We are going to make our mullein infusion from the dried mullein, and we will make it just like our other infusions. We will use one ounce of the mullein stalk and leaves, and I use it all together.
But then there is two things that are really different. One is that when you strain it, because the leaves are covered in hairs, we want to strain it, not through like a little sieve, but through cloth. I used to get my mom's old linen napkins to strain the mullein infusion.
The second different thing that we do is that we combine this infusion with milk, half-and-half. Choose half mullein infusion and half milk, because milk is one of the best healers that there are for the lungs. So those are the two different things we are going to do with our mullein infusion.
Same thing is, we are going to dry it, we are going to use one ounce and a quarter of boiling water, and then we are going to strain it through a tightly woven cloth, and add half-and-half milk. It's just wonderful. Heat it up with a spoonful of honey. Mullein infusion is dark, black, it tastes like a deep rich roasted coffee. It tastes good.
