Okay. So we are done with the Bridge right now, so I am simply going to click to dismiss the Bridge, and now we'll head back over to the Site Window here and GoLive to take a closer look.
Okay. I've got five pictures here in my Site Window, but I would like to organize them a little bit better. So I would like to create a new directory or a new folder. There are several ways to create a new folder. One would be to click the Folder icon on the Toolbar, another would be to simply use your Right-click or on a Mac Ctrl+Click into the Site Window, and then choose New, Folder.
The folder appears in the Site Window with its name highlighted and ready for you to type in the name of your choice. So I'll type in Pictures. Now, if I want to put some images into that folder, all I need to do is select and in this case, I am going to drag across all five of these, and then just put them into the folder by dragging. You'll notice it has now opened the folder, and showed me the contents of it.
To go back up one level, all I need to do is click on the Up button here in the upper-left corner. Now, I can see my CSS folder with the basic.css file inside my Pictures folder with all five pictures in it, and my index.html page.
Now, we've previously mentioned two ways to make a new folder, but there is actually a third way, and that would be by choosing the folder from the site objects in the Objects Palette. So we'll click here and we'll just go down to the Site set of objects and select. Here, you can see there is a Folder object and there is also a New Page object.
So right now, we are going to make a new page in our website, and we can do so by dragging and dropping the page from the Site objects into our website, and now I want to Undo what I just did. The reason I am showing you Undo is because many people don't realize that you can not only use the Undo command in a page, but you can also use it in the Site Window. So Undo takes the page away.
Now, I showed you that you could drag-and-drop the page, but did you know you can also simply double-click in the Objects Palette to create a new page? So here is our new page, and I am going to name this one seacreatures.html. You'll notice that the Status column of the Site Window has a Check-mark next to this document, and this one, but this one has a little man with a shovel. That means that this page has been created, but has not yet had anything done to it nor has it been saved.
