Hey guys Gerry here for Iceberg Creativity. You know when I finished off the After Effects tutorial both parts of it. I thought to my self I ended kind of bad. I should have dedicated some more video to show you how to render out your file. So rather than give you the screen just for my settings and hope you figure on your own. I’m actually going to make a tutorial of it and how to render all your files for After Effects.
Now there are many, many, many, many, many ways you could do this. This is just my method for doing it. Well, my setting anyway. So I’m going to open up After Effects, and here’s the comp that we worked on last which is my Winter Day scene, it’s fully composed and ready to be exported. Well what I mean by that is it’s finished off and ready, so what we’re going to do is we are going to go to window and open up the render cue. The render cue is where you add files that you rendered out to your desktop to your movies photo where you like. So go to this area over here where your project is managed, and drag your main composition down to the render cue. Now right here you see the output module it says, lostless. Click this and then it will up your settings. Choose your format QuickTime if you use Mac OS, it’s the best, even if you use Windows I still use QuickTime Movie. In video output, click format options and you’ll get this compression setting option. I will change it from animation to H.264 and leave the quality up at best and the frame rate per second at 30, click okay.
Now after Effects doesn’t like this it tells you that you should just use the H.264 compression without the QuickTime module, but ignore After Effects. It’s a jerk. It’s lying to you. You can try and mess around the H.264 format if you wish, but I just like to stay with quick on to get this what I know on line. Now make sure you click this down here the audio output. You know how edit audio twice scene well if you don’t click this you will not get audio, and if you like the image you first I will have that fix, you could not figure why you got audio. You freak out and you hated this application for three weeks. So click audio output. If you want, you can change the format options compressor you can—you know do all these fun, fun things, but I’m just going to leave this alone because although the audio is a key essential part of any music video, movie you name it right now it doesn’t really matter.
So I’m just going to click okay, and now you see that’s ready to go there’s nothing else is left to do except for one thing. You must click the output module and output tool and choose where you like to output this file. I will chose to just iceberg while I default home folder on Mac OS and we’ll just call this Winter Day and we hit save just check down here to make sure all your formats are right and your quality, your output info, audio, check to see if you put off on the final size file. You know everything, and then just click render. And now your file will begin to render. This yellow bar will show you its progress, and it will continue to go until finished. When your rendering is nearly complete, or rather when it is complete. You will hear this confirmation sound to let you know that your file is finally finish and you can view.
See, it’s that easy and now you can go to your desktop where your folder wherever you sent the tool, and to play preview and either quick time or whatever video player you chose here.
And there you have it. Thanks for watching guys have a great evening.
