Now then, how do I do this, an ID, the best thing to do is to get an identical track. An easy way to doing that is burning a CD into PC, burning a copy and then having 2 identical Tracks, one that side, one that side. Now we need to do is start them off exactly the same time, stop and off. Now what will happen is this, now if you think about it, if you have got exactly the same track and you have got right CD jay, right speaker, left CD jay left speaker, what is happening is you would not be able to distinguish a lot easier when the beats go off because you actually hear an echo, like so. This is what you need to hear and this is what you need to try and listen for. What you will find as you get them in beat, they will join in the middle, in the middle of your head. Now that really sounds bizarre but they will actually will.
They are actually joined in the center because what you are doing because you got your right hand Turn Table on the right side, left on the left side, theoretically, you are playing one song if you think about it. And the songs got to meet in the middle, now I am going to give you a demonstration but only difference is I am using different songs which are a bit of a no-no. When I say it is a bit of a no-no you can do it this way but it is better to get the same song because what will happen is that there will be no phasing or anything like that. All what will happen, you will get a nice join almost in the center of your head and you actually hear the beats. What is in front of you come together, now it sounds bizarre. But all actually it is oh you got a sound hear and it is bang-bang-bang in the center. That is what you do not want, do not forget with this idea you do not need headphones. What we will do, I got this nearly set up, now I am going to start at the same time and then of the same beat by letting them go off big time. And make them go off beat and then I am going to try to bring them back in. The sad thing is of course you can not hear the stereo sound, you can only hear that when you do it at home. But hopefully it will give you general ideas, so off we go.

The left hand side is at work and the right hand side is at work. Now what I am going to do now, I will get the entire off beat. So what I am going to try to do, I will try to get that one back in beat by moving the jog wheel to get involved.

Now what I can hear, I am actually listening to that beat in front of me. That is what I am listening for the beat. In front of me, not the beat over there, I am going to hear something individual.

Do not expect to get this first time. It will take a lot of practice but that is the whole idea.
I am going to start on both again and we will see what happens. We will start from the beginning. Get that ready off we go.

So basically, like I said earlier, you balance control; right side, right side; left side, left side. No headphones now get try and use exactly the same song. So if you only got one copy, burn it in your PC and burn a copy. If you paid for that particular piece of music then you will legally entitle to make a back up. So you are legally entitled to have a copy for yourself so there are no problems there, burn both in and work on that bass that I showed you. Try that and give it a go.
Now for goodness sake, do not expect to get it in beat strokes way because if you are new to Deejay playing it might not happen. You have got to realize that this is a difficult thing to do for some people. For some people it is easy, for a lot of people it just takes a bit of time.
