One little issue here. When brushing out a board, you should should consider the type of snow you will be riding. Average groomed snow or powder you should scrape from tip to tail ( actually, ironing, scraping, and brushing should always be done tip to tail on a board because of the the differences in width of different boards noses, waist, and tail, tip to tail is the best method ), but if you are riding slushy or wet snow, brush at slight angles going from the tip towards the tail. This helps push the moisture out and away from the base and keeps you from getting slowdown.

Hi! I’m Phil at Ski Chalet at Arlington, Virginia. Now that we’ve cleaned the board, we’ve waxed the board, we’ve scrape the board were going to now brush the board okay. One of the reason we’ve brush the board, one is that finish the wax but the most important reason you're going to brush the board and you're always going to brush the board from tip to tail or tail to tip never across the latitude of the board, is because once you’ve scraped the wax you’ve created a flat surface on the board. You're actually brushing the wax to create what’s called structure and that is little tiny lines in base of the board in the wax that allow liquid which is what the board runs on to slide down those channels or structure to the board will actually move across the snow. If you have a perfectly flat surface on the bottom of the board, board won’t run it will actually stick to the snow. Do you need structure on the base of the board so that it breaks the surface tension of the water underneath the board, allowing the board to slide. Which you get first out, you wipe it off and got nice structure in the wax now so, the board is going to run fine and at that points you're ready to go ride.
