Female: You have told them to cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze. Well, this may be a good etiquette, it is bad news. Colds and flu spread through mucus and saliva droplets that are passed from person to person. That means that sneezing or wiping your nose with your hands is how the flu gets spread throughout your family. Therefore, it is actually smart to teach children to use their sleeves to sneeze into. In addition, encouraging special attention to hand washing is vital. Instruct them to sing the Happy Birthday song to themselves while they wet their hands, add soap and scrub. This average is out to be 20 seconds that hand washing should take. Teaching your kids these simple practices may seem silly, but it will keep them happy and healthy no matter how fast flu germs fly.
